NATIVE HEALTH's Living Well Traditionally Diabetes Prevention Youth Camp provides the necessary tools for American Indian/Alaskan youth to reduce the risk of developing Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus. In addition to offering a fun outdoor camping experience, the camp will also provide instruction on the importance of nutrition, physical activity, self-esteem and Diabetes prevention.
The camp will be held Monday, June 5—Friday, June 9, 2017 at Camp Colley, north of Payson, AZ. There is a $75 registration fee per child. Applications will only be accepted when all forms are completed and registration fee is paid. All physicals must be completed by a NATIVE HEALTH or NHW Community Health Center provider.
